My homie/coworker group ate here today and each of us enjoyed the ambiance, the service, professionalism of the staff, and most importantly, THE FOOD! Huge shoutout to Toni, our waitress! Please ask for her. She is knowledgeable about the menu, friendly, prompt, and super personable. We highly recommend!

If brunch had a spirit animal, it would be Ms. Toni at Hull & Oak. From the moment she greeted our table, the vibe went from “nice brunch” to “we may need to make this a weekly tradition.” Ms. Toni is warm, attentive, and has that rare superpower of being everywhere you need her to be without ever feeling intrusive. Our drinks never went empty, our questions were answered before we even finished asking, and her menu knowledge was as sharp as the espresso. She somehow managed to keep things moving smoothly while still making every guest feel like the most important table in the room. Great food matters. But great service like this? That’s what turns brunch into an experience. If you’re at Hull & Oak for brunch, do yourself a favor and hope you get Ms. Toni. Your mimosas will be happier for it. 🥂

Super cute place to eat breakfast inside the Laura hotel. Food was delicious from Chef Ricardo.. we had biscuit & gravy, the Laura sandwich and the classic two egg breakfast. All so good! Tanisha took great care of us. Small wait - so make a reservation if in a hurry. But highly recommend for a tasty sit down breakfast in Houston!

We had dinner at the bar/lounge side of Hull & Oak and really enjoyed the overall atmosphere. There was a live guitarist playing, which added a nice touch, and the lounge seating created a relaxed, comfortable environment. The large windows overlooking downtown were a great feature, especially with the city activity outside. The drinks were well made, and the service—especially from our bartender—was excellent. Food was good overall: The Gulf shrimp skillet was flavorful and a repeat order The smash burger was good, though the portion was larger than expected One issue was that a modification request (no spicy relish) was not followed The only major concern was the presence of gnats/fruit flies in the lounge area. While this may be common in bar settings, it was noticeable and required us to constantly fan our food, which impacted the experience. Overall, a great atmosphere and strong service, with a few areas that could be improved.

I came here before and wanted to try, but I couldn't get parking. It was like $62 for parking, and I just kind of refused to pay that. This morning I was able to try it again. It's during the week; it's a Thursday morning. I came for breakfast. I really was looking for somewhere quiet to do some work, and it was perfect. I came about 7, and it was pretty empty. It was a super cozy breakfast spot. Miss Tony was my server, and she was absolutely fantastic. She totally made it a very warm experience, so thank you so much for giving me a soft place to land.

I just had a fabulous breakfast at Hull and Oak…. Fresh brewed coffee was fantastic !!!! Had the amazing peaches and cream waffle…. This place has a great vibe. I love the counter that you could sit at and my server, Ms Toni is incredible. She made me feel like home…. I just landed from Fort Lauderdale and wanted a great breakfast to start my trip. I was not disappointed.

Tanisha was outstanding! She approached us with a warm smile and her service was outstanding! She was very knowledgeable about all things on the menu and was patient! She engaged with us and asked about our trip. The food was brought out promptly and the food was amazing! Chef Richardo! The Mac and Cheese was amazing! It was creamy, seasoned and the layers of flavors was phenomenal! Recommending the Mac and cheese, the salmon and mash, the deviled eggs, brussel sprouts (so much flavor), and the smash burger was absolutely delicious! Great service from beginning to end and can’t wait to come back and enjoy! The mimosas were also excellent!

Despite not being a guest at The Laura, I was welcomed warmly at Hull & Oak and given the best service imaginable. The food is delicious and filling, and the portions are great too. On this day, I was headed to catch a coach to San Antonio, and the lovely Tanisha let me sit at my table until it was time to leave. Spectacular ambience, warm service, and great food. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

Was in this side of town for some business, looked up Google for breakfast joint and I was drawn to the high star 🌟 reviews. Yes, it lives up to the hype. Came in at 0800ish, the Hull & Oak had many seats available. People wore mostly business attire. The server that helped us was Ms. Toni she was very sweet and welcoming, giving off southern charm just like the food they offer here. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy, I got the challah French toast and side of potatoes. They were all incredibly good. Biscuit tasted light and fluffy, gravy tasted balanced. The potatoes were small Yukon golds perfectly seasoned with hint of butter. French toast was divine with the berries and pecans on top. It was a delicious breakfast and I made up my mind that I would come here again when in town. Service and food was 5 🌟
